The Orca Excel is designed for ease of use. Its sleek shape fits snugly in your hand and two conveniently placed programmable keys provide you with easy access to up to four of your most used functions. The Orca Excel also features easy to use rotary on/off/volume and Channel controls.

Battery Status Indicator
The Orca Excel's clear, 2 x 12 character, backlit display features a battery status indicator so you always know how much power remains in your battery.

Full Keypad
An easy-to-use keypad enables full numeric dialling, DTMF overdialling, three digit selective calling and selection of up to 100 channels. A user-defined keypad lock also provides security against mistaken or unauthorised use.

Unique Luminous Keys
Exposure to sunlight, torch or electric light for 15 minutes charges the specially coated numeric and entry keys, illuminating them clearly for up to 2.5 hours. The keys will continue to glow for up to 5 hours from original light exposure, allowing the radio to be found and used in darkness without any drain on battery power.

Channel Scanning
With the added priority feature, you can ensure that you never miss a call.

Voting
The voting feature ensures that your Orca Excel automatically selects the strongest channel to make sure your call gets through.

Advanced Signaling
Signaling capabilities include a Selcall function, DCS and CTCSS signaling, all as standard features.

Handset Operation
The Orca Excel features the popular handset mode. When in handset mode, the radio can be held like a telephone for extra privacy or for clear conversations in a noisy environment.
