The
eTrex Vista? is the ultimate navigational tool designed for
serious hikers and climbers. As the premier model of the eTrex
range, the Vista has all the features of the eTrex plus a
lot more.
With
a powerful 12 parallel channel GPS receiver, the Vista comes
packaged, like all eTrex models, as the smallest GPS on the
market at 11.2cm tall, 5.1cm wide and weighing in at only
150 grams.
The
sleek, platinum coloured, water resistant case features only
five operator buttons located on either side of the unit and
a navigational Clickstick? on the face panel, allowing for
simple, one-handed operation.
The
Vista will store up to 500 waypoints with graphic icons and
boasts GARMIN's exclusive TracBack? feature that will reverse
your track log and help you navigate your way back home. In
addition the eTrex Vista uses animated graphics that will
help you identify your marked waypoints quickly and easily.
The
eTrex Vista? has an extra high resolution LCD (160 x 288 pixels)
displaying a built-in basic map of main and secondary roads
rivers and coastline, and contains a massive 24 megabyte memory
capacity for Mapsource? data downloads. It also features a
built-in fluxgate compass to keep you on course, and barometric
altimeter to record the details of your trek.
