a 12 parallel channel GPS receiver that will run for 20 hours
on just two AA batteries.
The
Venture comes in a brightly coloured green, water resistant
case and features only five operator buttons located on either
side of the unit and a navigational Clickstick? on the face
panel, allowing for simple, one-handed operation.
Standing
11.2cm tall, 5.1cm wide and weighing only 150 grams, the Venture
is a navigational tool that will literally fit in the palm
of your hand.
It
will store up to 500 waypoints with graphic icons and boasts
GARMIN's exclusive TracBack? feature that will reverse your
track log and help you navigate your way back home. In addition
the eTrex Venture? uses animated graphics that will help you
identify your marked waypoints quickly and easily.
The
Venture has an extra high resolution LCD (160 x 288 pixels)
and with a memory capacity of one megabyte it can also accept
a partial download from Mapsource? of Australian major towns
and cities.
