If you have an earlier version of Australian City Navigator and would like to update to v7 you can do so now by ordering the Update CD through your myGarmin account. If you dont have a myGarmin account you can create one and register your current map products at my.garmin.com

Cartography is the art and science of making maps. Garmin have a team of cartographers and engineers who develop digital geographic data that can be used in a variety of their products. Garmin's cartography provides enhanced mapping detail that will supplement your unit's existing basemap and improve navigation.

Mapsource is a PC application which provides route, waypoint and trip planning features and allows upload/download of track logs, routes and waypoints etc between a Garmin GPS unit and a PC. In addition, MapSource provides a map transfer feature for use with map capable Garmin GPS units.

MapSource is available with a range of maps for various applications and locations world wide. Most of these maps are designed to augment the reference detail already on your GARMIN GPS basemap. Your preference for map detail and your specific activities will determine which MapSource CD is right for you.

MapSource is compatible with almost all GARMIN GPS units except the early GPS 100 family of products (GPS 100AVD, GPS 100MRN, GPS 100MIL, SRVY II) and panel mount aviation units.
