Mapsource Metroguide Australia provides detailed street
maps of major cities and metropolitan areas in Australia
including highways, interstates and business and residential
streets.
Metroguide Australia also contains additional
rural detail to residential street level throughout
Australia. Metroguide Australia does not auto-route
on the PC or the GPS unit.
We encourage you utilize the GARMIN Mapsource
Map Viewer on Garmin's website to see the coverage and
details of the Mapsource MetroGuide Australia prior
to purchase.
IMPORTANT: Metroguide Australia is a "Locked"
map product. To install and use the Mapsource MetroGuide
Australia CD ROM it must be "unlocked" to
your compatible Garmin GPS unit. The unlocking process
can be done through the unlock pages on GARMIN's website.
Your initial purchase of Mapsource MetroGuide Australia
provides you with an Unlock Certificate which gives
you access to all of Australia.
Note: When using a "Locked"
MapSource product, the real-time plotting function will
work only with a valid unlock code for the GPS unit
being used. If your present GPS receiver does not have
an internal ID code you will not be able to use the
mapping features of Metroguide Australia. These includes
older models such as the GPS12 series, GPS45/48, GPS
2 series, GPS 3 series, standard eTrex and etrex Summit,
GPS120, GPS126/128, StreetPilot Colourmap etc. If you
are unsure whether Metroguide Australia is compatible
with your GPS unit, please check with Garmin's Mapsource
Compatibility Viewer
The trip and waypoint management functions
of this product work with nearly all GARMIN GPS units,
excluding the GPS100 family and panel mount aviation
units.
